Erin, I know support is in a different time zone but if you have the answer to this please send it to me thx! or post how to setup the buttons for the multirow im pulling my hair out here lol and im working on a city website thx!!!!!!
With a lot of testing and experimenting, I've found a few bugs you need to work around.
"I've setup one main button that's the parent item for the drop down
I set it to only 1 column
group no"
Be sure to add the column width to this first main button. It won't work without it. I added the width to all three boxes to get it to work. Without this, it doesn't allow the width for the multi columns, thus forcing it to a single column.
Try this first, I also have a few other tricks depending on the layout.

your reply was fantastic it worked like a charm but now I have a question and is there another way to do this, should I even be using multirow... it worked but look at my dilemma...I attached a pic... id like to move columns up to butt up against the ones above.. I understand this might not be possible because they are separated in rows.. so what would be another way?

I was shooting video for problem " divided column megamenu"
Please view this video:
Departments
- col1
- - Utility Customer Service
- - Human Resources
- col2
- - Community Development
- - Ecomonic Development
- col3
- -

ok so for the above what are the settings for the departments button? title yes? how many columns? group? and do I set column width?
THEN for the other buttons settings? what I did so far was...
Departments (title yes, column 1, group no, I set width 1100 as a test) parent item main menu
-deptcol1 (title no, column 1, group no, I set width 250) parent item is departments
--utility customer service (title yes, column 1, group yes, I set width 250) parent item is depcol1
--human resources (title yes, column 1, group yes, I set width 250) parent item is deptcol1
-deptcol2 (title no, column 1, group no, I set width 250)
-deptcol3 (title no, column 1, group no, I set width 250)
-deptcol4 (title no, column 1, group no, I set width 250)
-deptcol5 (title no, column 1, group no, I set width 250)
oddly utility customer service and human resources now vanished and wont show in dropdown...
please advise im sure im missing something simple.
