The setting in the module 'linked titles' is somewhat misleading. I would expect a setting of 'show title' and a setting of 'linked titles' - so you can choose to show the title, without linking.
Is there any way to do this, or would it need a template override?
Just updated to latest version and still can't see how to do it.

About your problem, You can replace the code follow the instructions below,
In source: \modules\mod_jux_news_wall\tmpl\default.php - > you replace lines 94 and 98 with the following code: <?php echo $item->title; ?>

I'm not sure what you did but it prevented the module from even showing. I had to roll back to our previous backup to restore the functionality as even reinstalling the module wouldn't fix the issue.
Thanks for pointing out the template override that could achieve this, I was actually suggesting that there should be two switches in the module - one to say if you wish to show titles (which would require a conditional if statement wrapped around the title tag) and one if you wished to hyperlink those titles (the existing if statement should work fine for that part).
So you could show titles with or without hyperlinks.
I hope that makes sense!
Once we roll back I will apply the suggested options which should resolve the issue for this client all being well.
