how can i make a menu heading without a link?

But there's one problem.
The drop down image does not appear

I mean the drop down arrow icon

You can creat submenu for menu item and load custom module.
please find "How to load different types of modules into your menu items" in my document

I am experiencing the same issue. When you set up a Menu Item Type = Menu Heading, it creates a link and points to the domain.com/?ItemID=865. See attached.

I'm sorry. Because all menu item, default will have tag, You can use "External URL" and don't enter link. It will works fine.

We will study for the problem when have update time.
