Blank index page - after install

Hello.. so I went through the entire install with Akeeba, deleted the installation folder.. clicked on the message :"Go to your site" there is nothing there. My page is blank.

I created a database in MYSQL for this site.. and it logged in during the install.. but now that its done.. I get a blank page. Please let me know what I did wrong.. thanks

well I had to re upload the file..so I'm able to get into the backend. Now I need to follow instructions and try to install or use the demo version.
