more menu items in main menu

I want more menu items to show in the main menu (mega menu).
Only 6 menu items on one line is to little for me.

Hi Adri,

In admin, you go to:
Menus -> Main Menu -> New
Here, you can add new Menu items.

no that's not what i meaning
In the template, the main menu at the top, the width of a menu item is not variable but has a fixed width.
You can put there only six menu items on 1 line.
Can I change this to a variable width with a right marge?

You can do 2 steps:

Step 1: In back-end (administrator): Extensions -> Templates Manager





Step 2: You go to 767 lines and change "width" smaller or larger
